A day after violent riots marred Baltimore, groups of people gathered in Ferguson, Mo., on Tuesday, clashing with police and lighting dumpster fires throughout the city.

The family of an unarmed black teen who was fatally shot by a white police officer on a Ferguson, Mo., street filed a wrongful death lawsuit Thursday against the city of Ferguson, former police chief Thomas Jackson and former officer Darren Wilson.
Chief: Officers shot in Ferguson ‘ambushed’
Missouri State Highway Patrol and St. Louis County police took over security near the Ferguson Police Department Thursday night after two officers were wounded by gunfire outside police headquarters in this city torn by racial unrest. U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder sharply condemned the shootings of police Wednesday night as a “disgusting and coward attack.”
