I am the digital marketing manager at KSDK-TV in St. Louis. I work with the entire promotions team to create engaging, shareable content that promotes our people, their stories, and our station. Additionally, I create individual strategies for employees to help them bolster their social media presence. I’m also an adjunct instructor at University of Missouri – St. Louis, teaching COMM 3370 – Social Media in Public Relations. I previously taught COMM 1150 – Intro to Public Relations.
Before accepting my current role at KSDK, I was a digital news writer, covering everything from the tragic Joplin tornado to the Boston Marathon bombings to the unrest in Ferguson. I published creative original stories, videos, and photos daily on KSDK.com. My work has been published nationally online through USAToday.com and on the front page of the paper’s print edition. My work on the unrest in Ferguson was sourced on MSNBC’s “The Rachel Maddow Show.”
I also spent two years as a digital writer at Monsanto Co., creating high-quality, shareable, and engaging content for the company’s digital properties, connecting the stories to Monsanto’s role in agriculture. I also assisted in re-writing Monsanto.com to make science easier for consumers to understand.
